The parking lot is located on Swallow Avenue and is a short walk across South Collier Boulevard to a one-acre beach access. The walk is lined with sabal palm and is surrounded by plush hotels on Marco Island. Discover this get away!

Explore the tidal lagoon that separates the Tigertail Beach Park from the state managed Big Marco Pass Critical Wildlife Area popularly known as the Sand Dollar Spit. The lagoon is home to a wide variety of wildlife including horseshoe crabs, needle fish, Florida fighting conchs, and more.
Enjoy the Gulf of Mexico from the Sand Dollar Spit. If you visit this site, be aware of seasonal postings designed to protect the nesting colonies and remember to practice good birding etiquette.

Tigertail Beach is a Collier County park, and thus not widely known outside the region. It’s also “new:” Less than 10 years ago, it was an off-shore sandbar. The winds of Hurricane Wilma piled sand on the southern end, and today Sand Dollar Island, as it is called, is connected to the mainland.
